Something thats been around for almost as long as my idea for Digital Integration itself, was the concept of Chris and Billy having a giant reference book. Inside the reference book was procedures and plans for any possible scenario, from Alien invasions to zombie outbreaks, even for situations more mundane then that.
For the new DI I decided to take this to the next level of absurdity. The world now has the most ridiculous gang war. Its a war between nerds and dorks (both of whom hate geeks naturally) and naturally being who they are they got together to create rules about how to handle there extreme hatred for each other, reffered to as The Code. The amount of detail in the book a testemant to the creative potential that exists if they would put aside there petty self-assigned labels for there extremely minor distinctions and just worked together. However this is strictly forbidden by the code. This is rule #2 (although there is a whole chapter detailing exceptions to rule #2 e.g. If a meteor threatens to crash into the earth and kill everyone). Rule #1 of The Code is obviously that you never talk about The Code.
Whenever theres a dispute that The Code does not cover, they consult The Arbiter, and I’m pretty sure all the gang “battles” will be little more then arguing semantics of The Code about what the rules of the battle are. There only contact with The Arbiter is over the internet, but they collectively obey because OMG she’s a girl, and also she told them too. I’m pretty sure Meme will be this character, and the creation of the code is what made her insane in the first place.
I colored another of the characters of Chrono Loran. She’s teh second in command of the ship. However she’s not allowed on to the bridge during communications with the UAPP. Theres some who believe she’d open her mouth and say something to piss of the UAPP and that would be bad for the inferious defenses of the Chrono loran.
You see Maria is a super big feminist and the women of the UAPP are mostly housewives or secrataries. This doesn’t sit well with maria and she will try to get the women to stand up for themselves. They will mostly think she is silly because from there point of view they are teh superiour race and thus anything Maria says is clearly stupid.
It also probably will not help matters that the Captian of the Chrono loran also leans towards being sexist too. Sometimes for real and sometimes as a joke. his nickname for is freckles which he only calls her when he wants to be sure to get under her skin.
Ok as a fun expirement I have created twitter accounts for 2 of my digital integration characters. If you liked Digital integration you should follow them.
Something I’ve wanted to do for awhile but never was quite able to figure out how to get started was to learn to solder. I read lots of blogs where people whip up really interesting gizmos and I would love to be able to do that but knowing how to solder is the only way to be able to live outside of kits. Kits are ok but nowhere near as cool as the custom stuff people do. People do crazy things with the arduino platform. Its been on my to do list forever, so when I saw this bundle I jumped on it.
Been working on character designs for my new comic project I’m working on with Nikki. Decided that I wanted to color one of them. Molly was the last character I had sketched and so I choose her. I think this is easily my best work. I wish I could make full comic pages look like this. I probably will for page 1 of the comic just to make it extra special. But I don’t have the energy to put that much time into every page.
This is Molly, she took an internship aboard the Chrono Loran because the scientist she would be working with is considered a genius in his field. However she finds out that he is also really weird and absent minded. Hilarity ensues as she has to do humiliating things as part of his process to discovering new knowelege into the weird things the Chrono Loran finds in its journey.
